Istanbul born industrial designer Rezzan Hasoglu attended Brown University and received her BFA with honors in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), MA in Visual Arts and Communication Design from Sabanci University and MA in Design Products at Royal College of Art London.
Her work focuses on memory, intangible cultural heritage and craft practices. Rezzan seeks ways of translating cultural nuances into tangible objects through exploring processes and materials. Her research project Artisans In Istanbul aims to locate and document local artisans to find the best way to establish a community platform for artisans and designers. Most of the products are made in collaboration with local crafts people and maker studios in Istanbul.
